Found this in a random forum and loved it, so I’m reposting it here. It said “add this to your website or signature,” so I’m assuming it’s okay to post it here. But for the sake of everything good and proper in the universe, credits go to VCard from Onemanga.com.

Voted :)

Today, I exercised one of my many rights as a Filipino citizen. I even have the bluish indelible ink on my right index finger to prove it. Unfortunately, I was not able to enjoy or experience the so-called automated elections, or if I did, I only felt the downside of it. The PCOS machine in our voting precinct broke down, together with its contingency unit. Because of that, we had to deposit our ballot in a box, instead of automatically having our vote counted after feeding the paper to the machine.
Technology really hates me.

I just want to share my devotion for tonight:
Scripture Reading
I Thessalonians 5:16-18
“Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
Devotional
The error comes in believing that to give thanks, one has to feel thankful or happy. But that was not what Paul was talking about in his first letter to the Thessalonian church.

My mom said Filipinos do not know how to vote wisely.
Unfortunately, I’d have to agree with her. Our local political history shows how we as a nation keep on voting candidates based on popularity, wealth, and “choosing the lesser evil,†for lack of a better term. Otherwise competent and deserving candidates do not get a shot at being elected because they rank low in polls, while inexperienced politicians get the vote because they’re popular, or are backed up by a well-known party.

I am now an official member of the Guiling-Guiling Club 2010.
Giniling what? you may ask.
I honestly have no idea either. All I know is that my sister Jeya and I were forced to travel three hours to my mom’s home province Siniloan, Laguna, and wait for another three hours just to have our names called and some green-looking certificate handed to us by a bunch of people we do not know.

I had four dreams last night. Well, at least, I remember four of them.
The first one was set in our first house in Monterey (Marikina). My Sister Jas and I were on our beds, and I rolled over to my side and saw a poor imitation of the Scream murderer lying just at the edge of my bed. I scooted over to Jas’ side of the bed in hopes that the serial killer would go away, but he didn’t. Jas woke up and tried to push me back to my side of the bed, complaining that I was taking up her space. I said that there was a monster at the edge of my bed, and when I looked up, there was a hanging white lady (well, she was missing a leg) above us.
I woke up, sweating.

And I love Ishimaru-kun. And Hiruma-kun. But I digress.
As always.

I wish I could write a half-decent review for this fantastic series, but I need to reread it first. Which will probably take me two weeks, give and take, squeezed in between my other writing/reading tasks.
Or I could try watching the anime instead.
Anyone can recommend a good streaming site for Eyeshield 21? Crunchyroll officially sucks.
Oh, and for those who have not yet read the manga but is interested enough to take a look (it’ll be worth it, I promise):
(Nope, this is not an actual post, just a random rambling from a fangirl. Maybe I should make one for Rookies too. Hmm.)

It was recommended by Ice, a good friend of mine. She said I should watch it, since I’m a theater person. My best friend Potch seconded it a few weeks after, when I mentioned in passing that I want to write my own musical. She also advised that I watch High School Musical. I don’t think I’m ready for that just yet.
